Enriching the lives of our animals is a key part of our animal care process. In addition to providing healthy diets we need to ensure they have a healthy mindset, so that requires creating 'toys' to keep them entertained and their minds active.
Enrichment can be as simple as getting creative with their feeding techniques (i.e. for the monkeys stuffing food into logs so they have to work out how to get it out) or Bella our lioness likes some of our more unusual enrichment items. Here she is with one of her favourite pieces of enrichment, a bowling ball!
